lisa clarke sent along a link for a different snowflake maker with this tip:

“When you create a snowflake, you work on a single triangle and it shows you how it looks when the “paper” is unfolded. I can imagine this might be an interesting tool for envisioning how to create a 2-color kaleidoscope cane.”
