speaking of reminders (see last post), crafty goat has a tutorial for making polymer clay resolution reminders to keep us all on track in 2007. this is a sweet idea, but there is no need to stop at 2 dimensional rectangles, what about a vessel that whispers your life-list or secret desires on the inside walls? or underneath the lid, or on the bottom? feeling bold? well, put those desires on the outside then! what about a brooch (maybe two or three) that announces your resolutions on dangling charms? even earrings – maybe one resolution for each ear. or transfer your guilty pleasures on the inside of a bangle bracelet…that will keep them hidden!

Glad you liked the idea, Susan! One idea for something a little more 3-D is Arte Es Vida’s Fortune Cookie Bracelet. Our guild made these at our last play day, printing out special fortunes (e.g., “I will have fun playing with clay this year”) for the fortune cookies. I think wearing jewelry that’s also a reminder is a really fun idea!
