how i wish i could steal a look at petra werle’s studio. her stash of materials must be a nature lover’s wonderland! werle’s creatures are spunky. they are oh-so-happy and naughty and nice. she uses bread dough as a sculpting medium, combined with gossamer insect wings, delicate cocoons, discarded shells and various other fragile snippets from nature to create the charming sculptures. most surprising? the french artist’s delightful use of baquettes in the ‘procession’ series. many thanks to ullabenulla for posting this fresh new find. a delicious morsel indeed.

What so wonderful creatures !! Full of emotion and so delicately sculptured !
Have a nice week-end !
