On Sunday I taught two workshops at Rockland Center for the Arts, an art hub and established cultural center in West Nyack, NY. The morning session was an intro to polymer clay. I forgot how delightful it is to watch students who are new to the medium – you can almost see the lightbulbs go on in their creative minds. The afternoon session was devoted to image transfers which is always an attention grabber. Both workshops were well attended (Alison Lee was there!) and we ran overtime – we were having way too much fun.
Last weekend’s classes focused on technique, but the next two workshops are more project oriented. This coming Sunday I will be back at RoCa teaching Bowls, Boxes and Baubles, a workshop that I will repeat next month at Barrett Clay Works which is part of the Barrett Art Center – a 73 year old arts organization in Poughkeepsie, NY. There are still openings in both workshops so c’mon over – we’re going to have a blast!

Oh what fun!!!! You are an inspiring teacher and your excitement about polymer is contagious!
I’m excited for part 2.

Hi Susan -
I’m so glad you’re back to teaching and back in Nyack too. I’ll bet it felt like going home. Congrats.
Maybe I’ll show up in Pok. if it fits my schedule. Anyway…have fun.
