At the ACC show I had the opportunity to see part of Andrea Janosik’s collection of suede and silver jewelry. The Brooklyn based artist was born in Slovakia and as a child lived in both Africa and Germany before coming to New York to continue her education. Janosik, the AJF’s 2007 Emerging Artist Award winner, is clearly influenced by her rich cultural experience, offering a variety of combinations: silver and suede; silver and leather; silver and resin.

I loved the work she had at the show! Especially the black suede pieces. They were so seductive.
