polymer clay orchid on parole de pate

Cynthia Tinapple’s post this morning reminded me that immersing myself in the world of French polymer clay blogs often puts a smile back on my face when I’m deep in questioning mode. Flo’s delicate, life-like polymer clay orchid was indeed a salve today for this gardener-without-a-garden.

And like many of you, I wait eagerly as artists Dan Cormier and Tracy Holmes nurture their latest collaboration, coaxing it into full bloom.cormier website - coming soon!

Cormier and Holmes are respected and applauded by the polymer clay community and beyond for their blend of dedication to pioneering some of the most exciting innovations the medium has seen in years, generosity of spirit as they share those innovations generously and undeniable talent that continues to take our collective breath away as we see each new piece of art. We know without question that their web-presence, the result of the same careful thought and skillful precision that they bring to all of their work, will be a beautifully executed, enlightening adventure into their art and life.

So pull up a chair my friends, when Cormier and Holmes launch their new site you are going to want to sit and visit awhile.

Spring brings possibilities for renewal and rebirth…to Spring!

    Dear Susan,

    Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

We are writing to say a belated but no less heartfelt “Thank you so much!” for this post. Not only did you help us share our news with your very broad and diverse global audience (and they heard you), you prefaced your link to us with such a kind collection of words that any innovator or teacher or artist anywhere would be grateful, and we certainly are (though don’t think that your post hasn’t now REALLY put the pressure on us with this launch!).

And since it is St. Patrick’s Day, may we share a quote?

“If you are lucky enough to find a way of life you love,
you have to find the courage to live it.”

For the past thirteen years, we have been able to find a way of life we love. It hasn’t always been easy, but it’s always been worth living, and (most of the time) worth loving. As we sit on the crest of our leap-year leap into the wide web world, we wanted to say again “Thank you,” to everyone we’ve met along the way who have led us, followed us, and traveled with us, sharing the joys of our adventure. But special thanks and gratitude (that goes deeper than we could ever truly express), to you and the many others whose ongoing and unconditional support and recognition of who we are and what we do gives us the very courage we need to continue. Because sometimes, despite the “dedication,” “generosity,” and “talent” that you have recognized in us here, sometimes it feels like it is courage we all need more than ever, to guide and transform our community into the positive and nurturing creative place we all must want it to be.

    See you at the launch,

    Dan & Tracy

P.S. Dedication, generosity, and talent are words that must also be ascribed to you, Susan, for all that you do… with, for, and about polymer clay. Lucky us!

Flo, your orchid is lovely – I’m happy I had the chance to share it with PCNotes readers.

Dan & Tracy – What a beautiful, heartfelt note – thank you.
