Say “no” to the good so that you can say “yes” to the great
I’ve been following Christine Kane’s blog for several months – her gutsy, creative, common-sense, personal life-philosophy are what keep me coming back for more. Kane is a musician first, but her gifts as a creative consultant/coach come in a close second.
A couple of months ago I mentioned Kane to Alison Lee during one of our creative pow-wows because I thought she would be perfect for a Craftcast interview. Alison was instantly mesmerized by her music and blog and booked some time with Christine right away. The interview gives us insight into how Kane travels on this creative path – present, conscious and awake to the possibilities.
During the interview, she mentioned something her visioning coach said that was particularly empowering for her and really resonated with me:
“Say no to the good so that you can say yes to the great.”
Mmmmm…think I have a new morning mantra.
