Enjoy and take care!

whew, I love these translucent chips. Great colors too, will make great windchimes, like Alison said. Is it etched clay? I want more.
I’m playing a lot with tubes and holes these days;)
Bettina
wow – they look really great – fine colors – how did you connect them?
i´m playin with stones and shapes – and my new polishing machine.
greetings – gudrun
Glad you like my latest experiment! I’m not where I want to be with this idea yet, but enjoying the process of playing, pondering and playing some more.
Bettina, they are not quite etched, though I am dragging a tool across the surface before baking to create a faint pattern on the clay. Cool, huh?
Gudrun, I connected the pieces in these pictures with metal tube beads that are normally used as spacer beads. I’m also sewing some, using decorative staples for others and concocting a variety of other ways to connect the shapes. I’d like to use the shapes for either a wall tile or a vessel – I’m just going where they take me!
These are just one batch and there are things that don’t work for me in this group (not happy with the borders on the shapes) – I’ll keep playing until it clicks.
Thanks for sharing with us what YOU are working on right now!
I’m working on a series of sculpts inspired by Milagros I bought in Santa Fe. Their in-progress status is posted on my blog, http://moonroommuse.wordpress.com
Hope you’re feeling better and on the road to recovery!
Wow! You’ve been busy! I love those colors. They look like beautiful wind chimes to me.
Love what your doing Susan! Really lovely.
