My pieces articulate life in transformation, growth, inevitable deterioration and regeneration. Working with several layers of color on a deeply etched , hammered or hand brushed surface I attempt to narrow the line between delicacy and durability. My intention is to convey a visual impression of fragility grounded in the inherent strength of the material used.
