I have had a chance to work with the bronzclay. (I was some of the lucky ones who got my order in on the first day!) I normally have worked in silver, low fire Art Clay 650. I found the bronzclay handled about the same, but did have distinctive metalic odor. I fired it up, using the slow fire directions for larger pieces (to be on the safe side). I mostly got little to no patina. I found out that not only was I glad for the mask I was wearing (carbon was EVERYWHERE!), I really wished I had a scuba mask on as well. Certainly I will plan on an even higher grade mask (I had one that was rated as good for vapors and fine particles). I have more info and pics at my blog, in the August section.

How fun to find a link to my blog. The bronze clay has been amazing to work with. There are still so many things that haven't been tried out with it yet. It always so exciting to take the pieces out of the kiln to see how they fired and if they have taken on some great color. I posted some new pics last night...July 29th, Please take a look
