When an artist takes his work one step further than you might expect, it always adds an element of interest for me. Brandon Holschuh’s jewelry, presented on simple wood platforms with metal supports, allows the owner to showcase it as small sculpture when the jewelry isn’t being worn. The effect is striking.

Holschuh’s collection has a strong masculine sensibility – another feature that sets it apart from the usual fare we see in jewelry. While I might not wear a meat hook necklace, I am thoroughly enjoying this metalsmith’s perspective.

I am totally enamored with Brandon’s work! A lot of his pieces have an architectural quality that I really like.
I see absolutely no reason to wear these pieces of art! I would display them proudly!
Oooo lala! What a great AM eye opener, Susan. Thanks for the shot of high test inspiration. Brandon’s work is sumptuous! Yes, masculine, masterful, and very effective.
Now, if you will excuse me… I have to run down to my studio and get crackin’!
