I look at hundreds of images of art on the internet every day as I search for artists to share with you.  When I find an image that speaks to me – powerful, beautiful, an interesting glimpse of the artist’s talent and skill – I begin my research. If the artist does not have a website or an online presence usually I move on to the next artist – often sorely disappointed.

The work is stunning! I see why you broke your rules.

And even if you do have a website, I’m often disappointed when I want to share an artist’s work on my facebook page, but their security controls prevent the pictures from displaying. No doubt it’s inadvertent, since the whole point of a website is to share your art. Artists, please check your security settings on your websites.

Yes Kerin, I will be posting from Synergy2 to DAM and the DAM Fan Page on Facebook.

Ronna many artists want to share but they also want control over how they share. So for some, they feel that links are appropriate and those links bring folks to their website, but they don’t want the images viewed outside of their website (hope that makes sense).

Vicki I will break my rules again on Monday – indeed rare for me. I am on a crusade to persuade artists to create an online presence!
