It is difficult to pin down a description for Bèatrice Coron - book artist, paper cutter, conceptual artist, sculptor and inventor are all words that come to mind.  Coron’s work spans micro and macro as she invents a situation, a city, or a world through her meticulous silhouette paper cuttings.

    I had heard about these pieces from friends and family who have seen the show. How wonderful to see it (virtually). I wish I could make it up to NY to see it in the flesh. Thanks so much!

    Hearing the artist discuss the work is enlightening. Having her identify the meaning of her iconography and the overall intent of the work–on a grand as well as more personal level–makes the fabulous craftsmanship all the more meaningful. Thank you for sending this, Wendy.
