To make life size objects, I use a flameworking technique which allows me to think about what it means to aspire-where I’ve been and where I project to be in a meditative process of flameworking. Eun-Suh Choi
Choi moved from her native Korea to New York six years ago to pursue a masters degree in glass from the Rochester Institute of Technology. An award winning artist, she is receiving high praise on an international level, including a 2006 Niche Student Award, 2007 Jutta Cuny-Franz Memorial Award, 2008 Glasscraft Emerging Artist Award and several scholarships and fellowships.
See Choi’s entire portfolio here - the body ornament collection is pretty wild.
