Adelson hand carves the acrylic brooches and handbag handles. The artist, who has a degree in jewelry design and metalsmithing from Tyler School of Art, also has a full line of acrylic jewelry and is a new exhibitor in this weekend’s Paradise City Arts Show in Philadelphia. Worth a look-see if you are in the area.

Whoa…those were IMPRESSIVE! This is not your father’s plastic, that’s for sure! I love the space-age feeling of these bags and brooches! Clever, clever and beautiful work.
These bags/brooches are amazing! I really love the idea of being able to display a piece of jewelry even if not directly wearing it! Gorgeous work!
Incredible design! I love how the pure lines and perfect workmanship of the silver elevates the value of the acrylic. Takes it way beyond a colorful chunk of plastic!
