The Mimes

Now 30 years old and based in Prague, Janecky travels extensively as a demonstrating artist, instructor, visiting artist and gaffer at Corning Museum Studio, Penland School of Crafts, Pilchuck Glass School, Public Glass, Pratt Fine Arts Center, several colleges and most recently as an assistant to renowned glass artist William Morris.

He has developed a voice with glass that is undeniably poetic and quietly breathtaking. Janecky’s figures are theatrical, dramatic, striking. His ability to suggest the subtle movements of a human body through graceful arm and hand gestures speaks to a mastery of the material.
