Chunks of wood adorned with hundreds of sterling silver dots mark one of Patricia von Musulin’s collections.
Gazing at these images I see sculpture – silver dancing on wood, sharp edges mixing with soft curves. One of these would make a bold statement in a room, yes? Hmmmm. . .more like a bold statement on your body. This sculptural collection is jewelry. Big IS beautiful.
Take a look at von Musulin’s swirling Lucite jewelry. She is clearly not afraid to be seen or heard – something to think about.

Stunning! Stunning!Stunning! did I also say Stunning?
May I add one more stunning?
Wouldn’t a few of these look grand and elegant
worn with our all black!
Great to see her work here!
First time I already know about someone you feature, Susan. Cool.
I saw Von Musulin’s wood+silver line at a prestigious boutique on the Plaza here in Santa Fe.
A couple of things intrigued me: !n person they are both subtle and potent: the unfinished or partly finished wood has an almost Japanese feel to it, simple, unadorned, while the silver gives a surface shimmer that makes you look further, before you realize what is happening.
And the pieces have weight: the wood itself is not heavy, but the silver adds a palpable heft. Not uncomfortable, more a reminder of what you have on.
Very beautiful. The lucite pieces are luscious in the photos, I wonder how they’d wear over time….
Thanks, Susan
