eco-necklace from fused plastic bags

Metalsmith Cynthia Del Giudice has been experimenting with fusing plastic bags. Plastic bags, as in your plastic grocery bags. I like where she’s going with this. Wonder if she will try using pigments on the plastic?

She learned how to do it from this tutorial.

You can see Cynthia’s metal work on Trunkt.

The Eco-Necklace is in her Etsy shop.

And last but not least, we can thank the talented Christelle for the link!

spring fling and foldformed flowers

I’m hoping for Spring weather in the Hudson Valley this weekend, but if the weather won’t cooperate just yet I can at least enjoy Cynthia Del Guidice’s tiny foldformed blossom earrings.

[private_archives]Love the images, the coppery blooms and this nice touch:

They come with a miniature glass vase for you to display after you’re done wearing them. They’re too cute to store away inside a jewelry box.

Read more on her blog (I want to try that beer bread recipe – looks too simple to be true!). Cynthia’s Etsy shop is here.

Don’t forget to answer this week’s poll (in the sidebar).  C’mon – it will only take a minute and it will help daMuse keep tickling your muse!
Thanks – and have a GREAT weekend!
