My Dad was a piano/organ musician. He built his pipe organ, including the wooden pipes. His father carved the intricate scroll work embelishments. Dad had a complete workshop of tools & treasures that I (even as his young daughter) was taught how to use.
I cherish the memory of his accomplishments – and the tools I still use daily. Thank your for these wonderful photos.

Beautiful. I am wondering if we are seeing the birth of a visually stunning instructional book/journal? These are worthy of that.
So beautiful and inspiring! I am a potter myself and appreciate any hand work,
my father was an exceptional carpinter and I was lucky to get his hands, in shape and creativity, Hands are the most expressive part of the body(and eyes)they always tell a wonderful story without words and yes, blackand white photos add to the authenticity of that story, thank you for the daily muse!

Beautiful. Really well captured so as to make interesting something on which one might not ordinarily focus.

These are beautiful! Esp the one lighting the torch and the one you used on the blog to talk about the slide show. I’ve been fascinated with hands of artists/ common people doing common things… for a long time, i think there is such grace and timelessness that everyone can relate to…. Thanks for sharing.
These photos are visually stunning and as an artist I love images of a working hand….and these hands are all working with love!
thank you these photos are so focused, peaceful & inspiring !
